Our Bear Rugs and Bear Skins are the perfect finishing touch
for your home or office. Traditionally, bear rugs were seen in
front of fireplaces. This is still a fabulous touch to any
home. They are also widely used as wall hangings, throws, and
bedspreads as an alternate form of interior
decoration.
Bill's Bear Rugs & Taxidermy (formerly North Country Marketing) uses a high quality
tanning procedure that is environmentally friendly and assures that your
rug will last a lifetime if not mistreated or
misused. We typically construct a bear skin rug with the polished
claws slightly spread apart and the mouth opened, to expose the teeth
and tongue. However, we do specialize in custom orders, and
would be happy to cater to your specific request.

Taxidermist provides in all our Bear rug creations! Every attention is given to detail and realism and only
the very finest components are used to create a majestic and respectful representation of this wonderful
creature! YES, the teeth are slightly "stained" just like "real life".

We can supply any bear or animal creation that is
legal. If you have any questions regarding legalities for your country etc, please
contact your appropriate wildlife departments.
Our Bear Rugs are the finest quality specimens you will find and usually only spring bears are used
as the fur is thicker and finer!
Please note that all measurements given are "nose to tail" and NOT diagonal like others in the industry use to make their bears
seem larger then what they really are. Our Width measurements are across midsection of "stomach" and NOT
widest points (paw to paw)... We use no "gimmicks or tricks". Also, ALL our rugs are hand-stitched and NOT glued to backings!
Simply stated, Our Bear Rugs are THE BEST!
Shipping/Handling and Insurance of all our Bear Rugs
(and Wolf Rugs) is set as LOW as possible to the lower 48 States! For rates to other areas please

The image above is to illustrate the superior quality and craftsmanship used on the backing (rugging) of ALL our
Rugs! This special rugging is designed not only for protection of your specimen,
but also to enhance the look and feel and provide a sanitary product you will feel safe and
comfortable
in using in a variety of ways! The insets in the image above are to show detail of the craftsmanship of
key points such as buttons, hangers, and upholstery tacks. All of our rugging is
hand stitched directly to the hide, not machine sewn and not just hot glued like
those of lesser quality. Hand sewing is an arduous task consuming many hours and is the mark of "Only the Best"! |

| BLACK BEAR RUGS: BROWN-CHOCOLATE-CINNAMON-BLOND COLOR PHASE |
| |
The North American Black Bear has several different color phases which can
naturally occur. Not all Black Bears are Black with more rare
occurrences of color being Chocolate, Brown, Cinnamon and Blond.
These color phases are much more rare and finding top quality specimens is even more difficult and so these bear rugs
command a higher price. We have discounted these more rare specimens for your purchase consideration!
We have kept descriptions short and focused on the images as best we could. Please call us if you have any questions about
a particular bear rug or would like to place an order! Also, remember that we do custom order work
and if you seek a particular bear finished to your specifications we can accommodate you! |

For collectors of Bear Skin Rugs, many are aware of the unique qualities found during a specific season. Not to be confused with Brown Bear Skin Rugs, bear rugs from black bears can vary in color from black to cinnamon and even the rare blonde, masked bear. In addition to color phase changes, a Black Bear Skin Rug will also have different fur qualities displayed in each season. More than an object placed in front of a fireplace, today’s rugs are a great way to create a focal point in any home or office. Home designers interested in displaying rugs in other areas will find a Bearskin Rug a suitable choice to serve as a wall hanging, throw or bedspread.
Each Bear Skin Rug sold by Bill’s Bear Rugs and Taxidermy uses a high quality tanning process that is environmentally friendly. With proper use, Black Bear Skin Rugs can last a lifetime. For Black and Brown Bear Skin Rugs displaying a head and claws, Bill’s Bear Rugs and Taxidermy constructs each rug to have polished claws spread uniformly apart and features an open-mouthed head display with exposed teeth and tongue.
As part of their excellent craftsmanship, Bill’s Bear Rugs and Taxidermy uses mostly late fall and early spring bears. These bears offer fur that is thicker and finer than other seasons and providers owners with a higher quality fur that is plusher, denser, and is designed to last virtually forever. When browsing Bill’s Bear Rugs and Taxidermy’s website, all provided Black and Brown Bear Rug length measurements are from nose to tail and widths are measured across stomach areas and not from paw to paw.
Different from lower quality rugs, each Bear Skin Rug offered by Bill’s Bear Rugs and Taxidermy is hand-sewn and not glued to backings. This process ensures a durable protective barrier for your specimen as well as providing a safe and sanitary, multi-purpose product. Checked for excellence, each button, hanger and upholstery tack is hand-stitched directly to the hide. Shunning glue and machine stitching, Bill’s Bear Rugs and Taxidermy understands this is a time-consuming process but feels it is worth the effort to deliver the customer second-to-none goods. To view photographic examples of the hand-stitching process, be sure to visit Bill’s Bear Rugs and Taxidermy.
If looking to add more decorative art to your walls, Bill’s Bear Rugs and Taxidermy also sells Black Bear Hides. These pelts make perfect wall hangings, and are claw-free. Sold in various color palettes, bear hides and rugs are some of the most recognizable forms of rustic décor. Size and color selections are updated regularly at Bill’s Bear Rugs and Taxidermy’s online store. Email or
